Liu Xiaodong
This beautful painting 'Getting out of Beichuan' (oil on canvas, 2010) of Liu Xiaodong is at the moment exhibited in the Shanghai Art Museum.The process of painting is also shown. By video and photo installation.
A happy surprise that a painting and even film about a topic as the Beichuan earthquacke was allowed to be shown in public.The exhibition also shows painting and documentary of 'Entering Tai Lake' (oil on canvas, 2010). As monumental and impressive!
