Architecture mall

In the Mal Malioboro a developer is displaying his single family house at scale 1:20. The model is located at prime location of the mall: directly at the main entrance to the upper floors. Next to it is a little information stand where their sales department can help you further.

Shopping as a bridging phenomenon between daily life and architecture? Great anyway to imagine a mall full of architectural models. More critical topics in the middle? Snacks like models for dormers and small extensions to your own house at the cashier? On the top floor you can buy your own plot? And also with the nice mirror finished escalators in between the different levels!

Campus

This happy wiggling font was found in the ITB campus in Bandung, Indonesia.
From it's architecture the campus is mainly known in relation to the buildings done by Henri Maclaine Pont in the early twenties. They contain a miraculous mixture of traditional and modern design. But you can find more beautiful work from other architects, disciplines and years too.

Bike Accidents Spots

In Vienna (Austria), in each case of an accident with personal injuries police has to mark the accident location with luminous paint. A formal act gathering of evidence, preparing the court case. During the summer months, however, these spots increase. Continuously, many dangerous corner show these marks - mostly bike casualties. Although Vienna’s bike casualty figure felt from 2005 with 654 victims, to 553 victims in 2009 (source MA46, Vienna), Vienna’s streets are still way too dangerous for regular biking.

In 2008, three ghost bikes where installed in the city. The white painted bikes should raise awareness of the dangers and harm done by cars to the non-motorized participants in urban traffic: cyclists and pedestrians.

Concrete Church.
